Extra Credit Reading : The King o' the Cats

This story is apart of the English Fairy Tales (2) unit written by Joseph Jacobs. This story is about sexton's wife and her big black cat who waited for the master to come and he came running in yelling, " Who's Tommy Tildrum?". He wanted to know who Tommy Tildrum was because he fell a sleep in a grave who belonged to Mr. Fordyce.

He woke up from Miaou from a cat that looked like Old Tom. The cats wanted him to tell Tom Tildrum that Tim Toidrum's dead.

He did not know who Tom was so he couldn't tell anything. Tom spoke and said "What -- old Tom dead! Then I am the King o' the cats"

I like these stories because they are unpredictable. I would have never thought this story was going to end that way. I thought the cats carrying the coffin was going to be violent in some way. If I were to re-write that story I would definitely do that!

I also think the ending of the story was a little bad. It ended with the cat running up the chimney. I feel like if  he is King now he should have some grand entrance to being king.

Demon or My Child : Week 3 Story

I can remember like yesterday, it was the happiest day of my husband and I lives. We had our first child March 13th, 2002. Her name is Mahleeyha Calvert. As a baby she was the sweetest. I can remember every morning I would walk into her room and she would have the biggest smile on her face holding onto the side of her crib waiting for me. I swear he smile was brighter than the sun shinning on California. I treasure those days because recently she's been acting like a completely different child. It scares me.
